Chicago Women in IP Hold Fall 2015 Program

October 8, 2015

On October 6, 2015, over 100 women professionals gathered for the Chicago Women in IP (ChiWIP) Fall 2015 program, “Personal Branding Strategies for Women in IP: Differentiating Yourself from the Competition.” This program, the first event following ChiWIP’s inaugural meeting in June of this year, was moderated by Jan Anne Dubin of Jan Anne Dubin Consulting and featured panelists Paula Hudson Holderman, Chief Attorney Development Officer at Winston & Strawn; Aimee Nolan, Associate General Counsel and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at W.W. Grainger, Inc., Kyle Harvey, Partner at Stadheim & Grear, and Paula Krasny, Partner at Culhane Meadows, PLLC. The panelists provided insight into the importance of self-branding and how it can help women in IP succeed in today’s legal market. The interactive discussion was followed by a networking reception.

ChiWIP, a professional networking and mentoring group for women attorneys practicing intellectual property law and women in IP-related businesses, was founded earlier this year by Fitch Even attorneys Nicole L. Little and Alison Aubry Richards, along with five other Chicago-area IP law professionals. ChiWIP’s next event will take place on January 21, 2016, at Nacional 27.
