Fitch Even Supports Chicago Charity Food for Freedom

November 18, 2015

Food for Freedom is a charitable organization founded by students currently attending DePaul University in Chicago who are driven by the desire to fight “food insecurity,” defined by the USDA as a “household-level economic and social condition of limited access to food.” The Food for Freedom team has expanded to include students from other Chicagoland area schools such as Wheaton College, Loyola University, and Aurora University. Fitch Even lawyers have supported Food for Freedom and its efforts by serving its trademark needs on a pro bono basis.

Food for Freedom’s current principal initiative is to plan and implement a world record-breaking food drive that will collect enough nonperishable food items in a 24-hour period to make a significant impact on the lives of the food-insecure population of Chicago.
