Fitch Even Attorneys Participate in CIPA Mentorship Program

January 12, 2011

Fitch Even attorneys Joseph T. Nabor, Allen E. Hoover, and Shane M. Delsman have volunteered to serve as mentors for the 2011 Chicago Intellectual Property Alliance (CIPA) Mentorship Program. The program, which will run from January through May 2011, matches second-year law students with practicing IP lawyers from the Chicago area.

Participating students will have the opportunity to meet and learn from their mentors, begin to expand their networks, and potentially receive advice such as how to succeed in law school, find employment, and manage a legal career in the long term.

Fitch Even is a founding firm of CIPA, a not-for-profit entity that promotes education, programs, and new ideas within Chicago and the Midwest to raise the awareness and enhance the reputation of the area as a premier intellectual property center for law schools, intellectual property practitioners, associations, and businesses.

Joseph Nabor is a member of CIPA's Board of Directors and currently serves as Treasurer on their Executive Committee.

CIPA's mission is to provide leadership, advocacy, and education to the community on intellectual property matters through a unifying voice by 1) presenting educational and service programs, 2) providing students with scholarships and other opportunities to advance their careers in intellectual property, and 3) showcasing Chicago and the Midwest as the center for innovative ideas and new technology and preeminent IP protection practices.
